Bognor Ladies 1 Whitstable Town 2. With the squad diminished by injury, illness and University holidays no substitutes were available for this 2nd round League Cup game and the ladies paid the price. Midway through the first half Tellwright made a determined run through the heart of the Whitstable defence only to be brought down cynically in the area, the resulting injury meant she no longer took any part in the game! Fortunately the penalty was converted by Beaumont and the Ladies held the lead until the 78th minute, before the visitors levelled the score forcing the game into extra time. The 10 players worked hard for the winner but it is Whistable who go through to the next round after scoring in the 100th minute. Next League game home v Petts Wood Sun 20th, 2pm KO at Nyewood Lane.
